Mod of the Month - June 2010
The weather is finally sorting itself out into something summer-like here in the UK. We're not the only ones who've been outside playing with power tools, files and spray paint though, as we have scores of new projects appearing in our
project log forum.
Quite a few projects we've had our eye on for a while have sprung in to life again with some awesome work on show. These interesting goings on mean you should definitely check our
modding forum and of course,
bit-tech's modding home page for guides, news and completed projects with behind the scenes write-ups from their makers. If you've missed Mod of the Month in the past, you can catch up on all the previous action
here.
We're proud to announce that we have a new sponsor this month and it's no stranger to
bit-tech or modding either. The Mnpctech team are regulars on our forums and in addition to being avid modders themselves with some awesome projects to their name, the Mnpctech online store is one place every modder should visit at least once.
Up for grabs for the winner of Mod of the Month from here on in is
one of these awesome prizes from the Mnpctech store itself. There'll be some new and exciting products from Mnpctech on the horizon too but for now, feast your eyes on these pieces of true PC bling.
Prize 1. 120mm Mnpctech Billet Fan grill.
CNC machined from 3/16" thick aluminium. Removable powder coated Honeycomb hole grill. Grill has 1/4" size hexagon holes that provide 79% airflow.
Prize 2.
Set of Mnpctech Billet "Diamond Knurl" case feet
3/4" diameter 6061 aluminium. Thick hard rubber inserts help prevent vibration.
Prize 3.
Pair of Mnpctech Billet Case Handles
CNC machined from 3/4" thick aluminium. Includes 4 fasteners and nuts. 1/4" mounting hole, 3/4" width x 6-1/4' length x 1-11/16" tall
So it's a huge thanks to Bill Owen at Mnpctech for stumping up such fantastic prizes and, well done to all the nominees last month. Over 130 of you voted for your favourite out of six gorgeous projects but there can be only one winner.
Last month it was forum user pinchillo with his incredibly popular, Warhammer 40,000 inspired
Dreadnought mod. Following in second place was
GwassGween by Cheapskate and
Spirale by alonso_bistro in third.
Back to this month though and as we said earlier, there's been some fantastic work on show in our forums this month. Check this lot out and don't forget to
vote for your favourite.
