Buffalo launches AirStation™ products to boost wireless speed and coverage

London UK, 20 July 2011 - Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of storage and wireless networking solutions, today announced the launch of two wireless products, offering faster speeds for home and office users. The new additions to Buffalo’s portfolio include the AirStation™ N-Technology HighPower ADSL2+ Modem Router and the Dual-Band Wireless-N High Power Gigabit Router and Access Point.

The sleek looking Buffalo AirStation™ N-Technology HighPower ADSL2 + Modem (WBMR-HP-GNV2-EU) is designed for users needing to share their internet connection as it allows multiple users to simultaneously view files, listen to music, or watch videos. The N-Technology modem router delivers an internet connection up to 150Mbps, three-times faster than Wireless-G. The HighPower technology reduces dead spots and extends range, in and around the house and the 5dBi high-gain antenna is detachable for flexibility and performance. Additionally, the unique AirStation ™ One-Touch Secure System ™ (AOSS) provides encrypted signal and secure, shared connections by just one button, making it an ideal solution for the modern family.

The AirStation™ Dual-Band Wireless-N High Power Gigabit Router and Access Point (WZR-HP-AG300H) is the perfect solution to connect PCs and laptops to the internet via a cable modem or 3G modem. Managing two 300Mbps networks simultaneously, users can share the work load - ideal for streaming multimedia content such as HD movies or music. In addition to its superior streaming capabilities, it includes a USB port to attach a hard drive which allows users to have simple NAS (Network Attached Storage) services on their network. It has been further improved to support 3G modems, so that even when there is no connection available, or the connection is slow, users can still share their 3G connection to the internet.

Paul Hudson, Sales Director for Northern Europe at Buffalo Technology comments: “The need for high performance wireless internet is growing stronger thanks to the explosion of video streaming, file sharing, gaming, and downloading of large files. Buffalo recognises this demand and the AirStation™ range offers efficient, high performance, affordable wireless solutions for the home and office.”
