Rotterdam (the Netherlands), September 2008 - With the new WL-308 Sitecom Wireless 300N XR Gigabit Gaming Router featuring StreamEngine technology, low-latency online gaming, lag-free local network gaming and uninterrupted VoIP use are guaranteed. The Gaming Router has been specially developed and designed for gamers and hardcore users, and combines an evolution in networking with an innovative design.

Optimising network with StreamEngine technology
The router automatically recognises application patterns in the datastream and allocates priority to those applications which need the best performance for optimal use of the available bandwidth. This intelligent technology, named StreamEngine, guarantees optimum wireless and wired performance, and efficiency for applications such as Voice Over IP, gaming, video streaming and downloading. This advanced Quality of Service functionality is activated automatically, no settings or additional software are required in order to make use of this benefit. Furthermore, the router can handle 30,000 simultaneous open connections, ensuring that streams or network tasks can be carried out seamlessly for multiple users in the network.

Wireless 802.11n draft 2.0 & wired Gigabit Network
The 802.11n draft 2.0 router is equipped with the latest wireless network technology, with speeds of up to 300 Mbps. The router is fitted with three 3dBi detachable antennas, ensuring optimal cover. For gamers who prefer a wired network, the Gaming Router has a built-in 5 Port Full-Duplex 10/100/1000 switch which delivers performances that are 10x faster than a standard network with speeds of up to 100 Mbit.

Pre configured Application Level Gateways and Advanced Scheduled Access Control
The Gaming Router features Preconfigured Application Level Gateways, so that users have preconfigured settings for the most recent popular online games. Furthermore, this list can easily be expanded and modified, so that the user always has access to his or her favourite online games. The router also features an Advance Scheduled Access Control function, enabling Internet traffic management: the user can indicate for each computer in the network at which set times use can be made of the Internet and to which pages access can and cannot be granted.

Easy setup and security with WPS
Both the WL-308 and WL-182GM Wireless 300N XR USB Gaming Adapters are fitted with a WPS hard button to create a secure connection with a single push of a button, and without any complicated software installation. Thanks to the WPA-TKIP and WPA-AES encryption, the data and privacy of the user are automatically protected.

Design
The gaming router not only excels in performance but also in design. This model has a clean design, with at tough but stylish outlook. Sitecom decided on a casing existing out of a top which is finished in 'piano black' and a bottom with a rubber coating. When the router is switched on, the blue Led’s shine through the exterior. Sitecom also presents the WL-182GM Wireless 300N XR USB Gaming Adapter, the ideal combination for the Gaming Router which is fitted with WPS.
