MADWORLD

Everyone’s favourite upcoming cartoony chainsaw-fest MADWORLD has received a new trailer especially for the festive season. The “Happy Holidays” trailer (UK Directors Cut Version) can now be viewed and grabbed on Veoh. It’s got some new details regarding the plot of the game and where the central character, Jack, fits in. Check it out here: www.veoh.com/videos/v16941876qrYSwf3R

STORMRISE

Head over to the STORMRISE website now and check out the plethora of information, screens, videos, and concept art from The Creative Assembly Australia’s first console RTS game. It also has some information on a clever and innovative way to navigate and select battlefield units called “Whip-Select”. STORMRISE is slated for a March 2009 ship on the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Until then, head to the website and check the storm that’s about to rise and be on the look out for more updates to come.

Lookout for the second STORMRISE Dev Diary as that is likely to be appearing soon as well.

SEGA MEGA DRIVE ULTIMATE COLLECTION

Alias Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection in America, this title has received a boost of 15 or so screenshots for two of the featured titles Golden Axe II and Comix Zone which means you have the excuse to practice your Sketch Turner Elvis-a-like SEGA splash impressions. We’ve added these screens to the SEGA Facebook page for one but they’re also in the SEGA Europe Flickr account where we put all manner of interesting things. Check out all the SMDUC screenshots, old and new here: flickr.com/photos/segaeurope/sets/72157608704005506/

FACEBOOK

Tying in with the above really, after a poll on our SEGA Facebook group where we asked our 30,000+ members to vote and tell us their favourite SEGA console the Mega Drive came out top, despite some stiff resistance from the Dreamcast. We’ve a new poll up now asking our fans which upcoming titles they are most excited about with SMDUC currently in the lead with Sonic & The Black Knight in second.

Also random fact: did you know that Sonic’s Facebook group is the 10th largest computer gaming page on Facebook (the world’s largest social network) and one of only two official pages within that top ten?
