Hemel Hempstead, UK, August 11, 2008. BenQ has announced the release of their latest DLP™ projectors, the MP623 and MP624. These two powerful cross-over models add to BenQ’s award wining ‘mainstream range’ of DLP™ projectors; offering extended functionality and flexibility to businesses large or small requiring a multi-use projector without compromising image quality. Both these projectors are perfect for any projection situation, with a rich feature-set including HDMI™ 1.3 connectivity, increased brightness, higher contrast ratio and a BrilliantColor™ system. These two new models are the ideal solution for the cross-over between data and video projection; with digital detail, vibrant colours, rich contrast, & high brightness, everytime even at home.

Housed in a sleek piano-black lacquer design, the MP623 and MP624 packs in the punches with their XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels, a high contrast ratio of 2,500 : 1 and a maximum brightness of 2,500 and 3,000 ANSI lumens, respectively. What’s more, the two projectors also offer extensive connection options such as a HDMI™ 1.3 interface, which guarantees an uncompromised visual experience with HD feed sources. The compact 2.5kg portable projectors are particularly suitable for data and video presentations in medium-sized to large conference or educational venues, and great for those travelling professionals who require a high quality projector they can just pack up and go.

With a low operating noise of 26dB in it’s energy-saving ECO mode, the devices are hardly audible during presentations as all elements down to the smallest detail have been developed in such a way as to achieve noise minimisation. Furthermore, a sophisticated ventilation system ensures an optimum device temperature which extends the service life of the lamp and permits the operating costs to be reduced.

The 5-segment colour wheel and integrated DLP BrilliantColor™ chipset ensure brilliant images. This ensures that the colours within the sRGB colour space appear significantly more alive and true during high brightness, especially in the case of blended colours (50 per cent and more). What’s more, the user can control red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow individually thanks to the independent colour management feature in order to coordinate colour nuances and saturation.

Both devices are a compact size and can be used flexibly thanks to their low 2.5kg weight, and offer helpful functions for the travelling business professional. The wall colour correction feature, for example, means that special screens are not required. Up to six colours can be set on the device with the result that the projection is adapted in colour to the background, enabling the image to be true to the original and without any tints. The fast cooling function means that after a presentation, the projector can be switched off and packed away immediately as it requires a mere 30 seconds to cool down.

Included with the projector hardware is a protective carry case, remote control, CD manual, and cables for mains & VGA. The warranty period comprises 36 months including a substitute device during the first 12 months. BenQ grants a warranty of six months from the date of purchase on the lamp.

The MP623 and the MP624 are available from specialist outlets at a recommended retail price of 000 and 000 euros incl. VAT.
