Intelligently identifies the highlights of sports games, now including American football

(5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, today announced the release of CyberLink MagicSports 4, consumer software that automatically identifies the highlights of recorded sports programs, and allows users to replay beginning with each highlight.
With the release of this version, consumers can now enjoy American football highlights, as well as the highlights of broadcast baseball, soccer, and sumo wrestling matches.
MagicSports identifies highlights using CyberLink MagicSceneâ„¢ technology. The technology includes a sports analysis algorithm that processes video and audio signals to locate the most exciting highlights. A typical 3.5-hour football event can be analyzed in about 20 minutes.

CyberLink has applied advanced video analysis techniques to create a new way of watching recorded football matches; instead of fast-forwarding recorded games, users can now browse a visual menu for their favorite highlights.
