Futuremark, the developer of the long-running 3DMark series of graphics benchmark tools has released some new footage of its next-gen benchmark, 3DMark 11.
The company was keen to stress that the trailer was shot on non-final code, so you can expect to see some graphical improvements in the finished version.
However, it's already clear that 3DMark 11 is a huge leap forward in graphical quality over the previous version, 3DMark Vantage.
Of particular note are some really good diffuse lighting effects between objects in front of the camera.
However, the complete lack of movement in the vegetation, something that games even as old as Arma and Crysis managed in 2007 is a bit worrying.
Check the footage out for yourselves below.
Futuremark hopes to release 3DMark 11 before the end of the year. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts in
the forum.
