NVIDIA is expected to trot out G70, its next-gen graphics chip, at Computex, according to
Digitimes.
The news is something of a surprise. Previously, NVIDIA has suggested to us that it would wait and see what ATI's R520 brings before launching any new chip of their own.
However, recent rumours have suggested that R520 is now pushed back until the Autumn, and we suspect that that is because the chip just isn't going as fast as it should be going. If the rumours are true, and it is back to Autumn, it means there is some very substantial re-engineering going on in Toronto.
So, the news that G70 will be at Computex either means that R520 isn't delayed, or that NVIDIA is fed up of waiting around, and is planning to get a march on ATI, by bringing out its new technology well ahead.
Are you fed up of the graphics card battles? With G70 expected to cost $550, is that just a bit of a joke? We want to know what you think, so
let us know.
