Zotac has announced four impending product launches, ranging from a miniature PC to a liquid-cooled graphics card, timed to coincide with the company's 10th anniversary.
Dubbed, unsurprisingly, the 10 Year Anniversary Editions, Zotac's latest designs are spread across the company's portfolio: there's a graphics card, a solid-state drive (SSD), a miniature PC, and even a backpack machine for virtual reality use. The latter, to begin, is an upgraded version of the company's previous VR Go design, which packs a desktop PC into a custom-built backpack in order to allow the use of the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift without wires tethering you to a base unit. The new VR Go includes an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card linked to a full desktop-class Windows 10 PC, which is powered - briefly - by a pair of hot-swappable batteries. The new design also includes holsters for VR controllers to sit while they're not in use.
By contrast, the Magnus EN1080 Mini-PC 10 Year Anniversary Edition is somewhat more sedate, taking the form of a fat black box. Inside the small form factor (SFF) chassis, though, is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 MXM graphics module linked to an Intel Core i7-6700 processor, both tamed through a custom liquid-cooling system. The part-built system comes bereft of RAM, supporting up to 32GB of DDR4 across two SODIMM slots, and supports a 2.5in drive and an M.2 drive for storage.
The Zotac GTX 1080 ArcticStorm 10 Year Anniversary Edition, meanwhile, is a collaboration between three companies: Zotac, GPU maker Nvidia, and Thermaltake, with the latter providing a custom liquid-cooling system. Based around a 16-phase power circuit, Zotac promises ultimate overclockability with temperatures kept in check once the custom full-coverage water block is connected to a radiator and pump via the G1/4" fittings. A limited-edition SLI bridge has also been confirmed, featuring a minimalist black finish with a subtle rendition of Zotac's logo on the upper surface.
The final product to be launched under the anniversary banner is the Sonix 10 Year Anniversary Special Edition SSD, a PCI Express solid-state drive supporting the Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) standard. Boasting sequential read and write performance of 2,800MB/s and 1,500MB/s respectively, the drive comes with a custom 10th anniversary metal shroud with LED lighting triggered during drive activity.
UK pricing and availability for the 10 Year Anniversary products have yet to be confirmed.
