Someone has finally managed to strip the clothes off NVIDIA's G80 graphics processor.
The folks at
VR-Zone got a little bored at a LAN Party and decided to reveal what many of us have been waiting for since the GeForce 8800 launch on November 8th. The subject was a card that had passed away during a serious bout of frost.
So, you've been wondering what 691 million transistors look like? Well, you needn't wait any longer.
Considering the size of the thing, we don't think it'll be long before NVIDIA shrinks it to 80 nanometres and it'll be interesting to see how much that'll help to shrink NVIDIA's costs on it's latest and greatest.
