Two nuggets of info alongside some PC market pics this morning, from the folks at Akiba.

The first is a Media Center box from FIC. As far as we can tell, it's based on the 915 Intel chipset, supports DDR400 memory, and has a whole bunch of audio and video connectors on the back for connection to a home theatre system. It's got a lovely oversized volume knob on the front, and looks rather slick. It also has a custom MCE remote which looks quite funky.

The second is a further look at the Aopen box that looks rather like a Mac Mini. It sports a Pentium M processor over socket 479, as well as AGP graphics and DDR400 memory. It's about half the height of most other SFF systems, giving it a perculiar look.

No word on when either of this is going to hit the western world, but we hope that it will be sooner, rather than later.
