The devil must be cracking out the ice-skates to get to work, because Intel is rumoured to be releasing two multiplier unlocked CPUs that aren't the super-expensive
Extreme Edition variety.
Instead we can expect to buy K-edition CPUs very soon, as Intel intends to officially announce both new models later this month.
They won't be Intel's first multiplier unlocked CPUs, as the Chinese market alone was blessed with the Core 2 Duo E6500K CPU previously, but this will be the first international release of unlocked mainstream CPUs. The two new CPUs will be identifiable thanks to the K on the model number.
