SilverStone has announced a new variant of its slim Raven Z RVZ01 chassis, now supporting ATX power supplies in place of SFX: the Raven Z RVZ01-E.
Sharing the same overall design as its predecessor, based around a steel body with reinforced plastic shell, the Raven Z RVZ101-E keeps support for mini-ITX and mini-DTX motherboards but does away with the need for a still sadly uncommon SFX-format compact power supply; instead, the case supports standard ATX supplies of up to 150mm in length, though the company recommends no more than 140mm to allow room for cable routing.
The case achieves its slim dimensions by using a riser card to flip the orientation of the graphics card, and retains the four 2.5" drive bay support of its predecessor. The interior also includes room for three 120mm fans, two of which are pre-installed at the top and the bottom, or a 120mm all-in-one liquid cooling system provided the pump and waterblock are no taller than 83mm with the same height restriction applying to CPU coolers.
The front panel of the case includes two USB 3.0 connections along with HD audio, with the total footprint sitting at 350mm x 105mm x 382mm. UK pricing and availability has yet to be confirmed, with more information available on the
official product page.
