Asus has just announced its first ready-built Republic of Gamers PC at Computex, which it's dubbed the ROG CG8565 Gaming System.
The system will come complete with a (currently unnamed) Z68-based motherboard, as well as an Intel Core i7, CPU which we presume will be the i7-2600K. We say presumably because one of the main features of the CG8565 is its one-touch overclocking button, which is located on the front panel with the normal power and reset switches.
Tapping this button automatically overclocks the system to a set of Asus approved settings, although Asus hasn't revealed any specifics about these settings yet.
The case that houses the system is also a new addition to the ROG range, and apparently takes its design cues from the stealth bomber aircraft. However, it's currently unclear whether the case will be available separately at any point, or whether it will only be available to buy with the ROG system.
We weren’t given a look at the interior of the case, but Asus claims that the CG8565 comes complete with an ‘innovative thermal management’ system. Also housed within the system is an Asus Xonar sound card.
Would you buy an off-the-shelf Asus gaming system? Does a one-touch overclocking button sound like a good idea to you? Let us know your thoughts in the
