Mod of the Year - and the winner is...

Dark Blade by G69T!

Well, the month has passed, and the votes are in. We had a staggering response from the modding community - over 1500 of you voted for your favourite case mod of 2006, and the contest was very, very tight.

Dark Blade won by an edge over WMD (and knowing G69T, it was surely a very well polished, intricately machined edge). We really weren't sure until the last day who was going to win, but in the end it was a well-deserved victory for the Italian modder.

In third place was wooden wonder-mod Sangaku, by GreenSabbath.

Congratulations Gianluca, creator of Dark Blade, who wins some cash, courtesy of ACRyan, as well as a poster made of his mod. We'll be getting on the designing of that ASAP.

We'll very shortly be picking one reader to also win some ACRyan cash, and we'll also be sending out Dark Blade posters to the bit-tech readers - stay tuned for details on how to get your hands on those.

Next year we'll be running the competition again - and we'll be adding a category for 'Newcomer of the Year', so if you've never completed a major mod before, get started and you could be winning in 12 months time!
