What happens when you're a fan of the styling of a case, but it’s too small to take all of your water cooling gear? Easy. You just grab yourself another second hand one, cut it in half and put in underneath the new case! Then add some grills and a bucket load of 120mm fans, like pistol_pete has done in
Project Perspiration and voila, cooling heaven!
At
bit-tech purple is our colour, so we love mrdbristol's
Purple Rain; a Mountain Mods UFO with two intricate water cooling loops and some fabulous cable braiding.
There seems to be a current trend in the modding world to 'go small' using the new draft of mini-ITX motherboards, and
MiniMe by oliverm92 is trying to go as small as possible. However, with a twist: a full water cooling set-up is included.
Ever thought doors were boring? So did Smilodon back in 2007, so he made
his own door complete with a dragon, sword and amazing LED effects. An old project, but a great alternative to the standard PC build none the less!
On the opposite end of the scale, we have Spotswood's
Large Wooden Tower which really does live up to its name in the fact that it’s made from wood, and is one of
the biggest full tower cases we've ever seen. It could eat the frankly gigantic Corsair Obsidian 800D whole with room to spare!
And finally, ever wondered what happens when you take two of
bit-tech's best modders, a Silverstone SG05 and a video camera? Have a look
here for the answer.
