It’s hard to talk about August 24th and not to refer to
BioShock, which has quite frankly taken over proceedings in the
bit-tech offices over the last week, however the day also marks the European release of the Xbox 360 Elite.
Yesterday, Microsoft announced official pricing for the new model, and also revealed that the Premium and Core systems would be getting a price cut in Europe on August 24th. This follows on from the price cuts that Microsoft recently announced in
North America.
The Elite, which comes with a 120GB hard drive, an HDMI output and is dressed in black will surprisingly only cost £299.99 – just £20 more than the Premium’s current price.
Meanwhile, the Premium and Core versions will be dropped to £249.99 and £179.99 respectively.
At under £250, the Premium looks to be a great deal and it’s an even better deal if you manage to snag one with
an HDMI port.
Will you be picking up a 360 at its new lower price, or are you still concerned about the console’s poor reliability? Let us know
