WarGaming has confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of the hugely popular online tank warfare game, World of Tanks, will be released on 12 February.
Just like the existing PC version of the game, the Xbox 360 version will be free to download and to play with of course in-game purchases available for players to upgrade tanks and consumables.
The new version takes full advantage of the Xbox 360 platform with new controls, matchmaking and UI. At launch it will feature over 100 tanks from Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
World of Tanks is one of the most popular games on the PC with over 75 million registered players, with publisher WarGaming making $372 million in revenue in 2013. An aeroplane based followup,
World of Warplanes was released late last year though we found it to have less long term appeal than the ground-based original.
