"
We do not know exactly when the game will be completed. All we've said is that we're hoping for a November release but as you know we value getting it right over getting it right now so there's no guarantee of that."
Those are the dreaded words spoken by Mark Rein
over on the official Unreal Tournament forums.
The much anticipated game was
originally expected last year on both the PC and PS3 but ended up being delayed. At E3 this year Mark Rein told conference-goers that the PC and PS3 would see UT3 in November this year with a 360 release sometime early in 2008. Originally, the game was only scheduled to come out on the PC and PS3.
A delay might not happen though as the development team is working fiercely to complete the game in time. I, for one, would gladly take a slight delay for a more polished game than to get a rushed-out-the-door game with loads of bugs.
What are your thoughts on game delays? Would you rather wait a couple of extra weeks or months to get a smoother game or do you prefer to get a buggy game now with patches coming later? Tell us your thoughts over
in the forums or in the comment section below.
