Sony websites in Thailand and Japan have suffered further attacks from hackers, just as the company works to restore PSN services and win back customers put off by previous attacks.
The new attacks saw phishing scams added to a Sony website in Thailand, with links to a fake Italian credit card company site attempting to lure customers into revealing personal information.
Meanwhile, a seperate attack on Thursday saw Sony's Japanese ISP, So-Net Internet, admitting that hackers had infilitrated its systems and stolen ¥100,000 ($1,225/€875) worth of 'virtual points' from account holders, according to GI.biz.
'What we've done is stopped the So-Net points exchanges and told customers to change their passwords,' said So-Net in a statement.
'At this point in our investigations, we have not confirmed any data leakage. We have not found any sign of a possibility that a third party has obtained members' names, address, birth dates and phone numbers,' added the company.
