THQ has formally announced the release date and minimum and recommended specs for the PC version of physics-driven destructathon
Red Faction: Guerrilla - revealing that those of us in Europe will get the game before the US.
International customers (including Europe) will get the game on September 11th according to THQ, while those of you in the US will have to wait an extra few days - it won't be in stores in America until September 15th.
The reason for the short delay in America is apparently that THQ is still finalising some distribution details with partners in the US.
The recommended specs for the PC version of the games, which has you running around on Mars and blowing up lots of buildings, include a 3.2GHz processor, 2GB RAM and a 256MB graphics card. If you can't quite reach that then you
can make do with the minimum requirements - a 2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and a 128MB 3D card with Shader Model 3.0 support.
We
reviewed the console version of Red Faction: Guerrilla not long ago and thought it was quite a good game and very technically impressive, even if the gameplay wasn't as innovative as the engine it ran on. Here's hoping that the PC version will feature a few more bits of visual splendour to help tip the balance in it's favour!
