Crysis 2 minimum specs revealed

Electronic Arts and Crytek have revealed the minimum system requirements for the PC version of Crysis 2, which is due out in a few weeks.

Crysis 2 will introduce the next evolution of Crytek's CryEngine, the CryEngine 3, but will also be the first multiplatform game the developer has worked on. Recommended system requirements have not yet been released.

• Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better
  
• Nvidia 8800 GT or higher
  
• 2 GB RAM
  
• Windows XP/Vista/7
  
• 9 GB free hard disk space
  
• Internet connection

Contrast those with the minimum system requirements for the original Crysis and you'll see there hasn't been that big a leap forwards.
