CD Projekt has announced that Atari is the latest publisher to sign up and start making it's older games available to buy from it's digital distribution storefront, GoodOldGames.
The announcement coincides with CD Projekt's Spring Conference, as well as the announcement that the Syberia series is being made available on GOG.com.
The initial line-up of Atari titles that will be available on GoodOldGames include Master of Orion, Master of Magic and the 1999 classic Outcast, each of which will be available to buy shortly.
“This is a great step forward for GOG.com and DRM-free digital distribution,” said Marcin Iwinski, Co-Founder of CD Projekt and GOG.com.
“This deal is really just the first step in what we expect will be a long and fruitful relationship. Atari has a tremendous number of cult classics within their grasp, and we hope to sign these in a near future!”
GoodOldGames specialises in selling classic PC games that have been modified to run on modern systems. All of the 200+ available games come without any DRM whatsoever and usually a handful of extra content, such as downloadable soundtracks. Games are cheap too - falling into either $9.99 USD or $5.99 USD price bands.
