Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that the PC version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter had gone gold and has been sent for manufacturing. It'll be in stores on May 3rd.
We had a look at the
Xbox 360 version of the game last month, finding it to be breathtaking but not jaw-droppingly perfect.
There are some differences between the Xbox 360 version and the PC version of the game. The biggest difference being that it is the first title to make use of AGEIA's PhysX physics processing unit that allows for more realistic physics to be introduced into gaming.
We were
hands on with the game at i27 and didn't think that the graphics were as good as they are in the Xbox 360 version - the notable omission is support for anti-aliasing. However, we played the game without an AGEIA PhysX physics processor installed, so the jury is still out. We'll have more coverage when the game is released.
Also, Ubisoft has released a new trailer showing off GRAW's
"amazing physics and realistic graphics" - you can
grab it on FileShack. Let us know what you think
in the forums.
