Today, Auravision have announced that Fatal1ty, the current world champion DOOM 3 player and world-renowned professional gamer, has decided to play a bit of pre-show musical chairs. The Fatal1ty Booth, featuring products from Fatal1ty's partners: ABIT, Creative Labs and Zalman, has been moved out of the lower level Kentia Hall and up to the West Hall, where the Fatal1ty Shootout and ACON 5 Finals for North America will also be held.
Johnathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendel will be answering one-on-one challenges from show attendees in the form of 4-minute shootouts in Unreal Tournament. The first challenger to beat Fatal1ty will win US$2500, while other valuable prizes can be won for scoring points or frags against him.
The Shootouts will run on all three days of the show for two hours between 10:30am and 12:30pm, while Wednesday and Thursday will also feature afternoon shootouts held between 3:00pm and 5:00pm. They will be contested on Fatal1ty branded computer systems, using hardware from Fatal1ty's partners.
The
ACON 5 North American finals will be held in the Fatal1ty booth from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. With the Counter-Strike Team finals to be held Wednesday, May 18th and Warcraft III: Frozen Throne Finals held the following day. ABIT will also display its newest products at the booth, including the latest Fatal1ty NI8 SLI (NForce 4 SLI Intel Edition), Fatal1ty AN8 SLI (NForce 4 SLI) and Fatal1ty Radeon X800 XL video card.
Creative Labs will be at E3 to discuss its deal with Fatal1ty to create products under the Fatal1ty brand name. Under the agreement, Creative and Fatal1ty will work together on the design and technical specifications for a variety of PC input devices and audio solutions. Each product will be designed to deliver the highest performance in its category.
Zalman will be showing its new official Fatal1ty coolers, the FS-C77 CPU Cooler and the FS-V7 VGA cooler, as well as the new Fatal1ty QDT 500 Computer Enclosure that we saw at
CeBit earlier this year.
