Bizarre Creations, the developer behind the hit racing game series
Project Gotham Racing, as well as the arcade shooter
Geometry Wars and third-person fragfest
The Club is trying to raise money for charity.
The developers of
The Club are pledging themselves to a number of different charities and events - all they ask is that you sponsor them a little.
Last year the team raised £6000 for
Marie Curie Cancer Care and this year they'll be trying to top that, with your help of course!
“
If you’re a supporter of Bizarre Creations we’d love for you to help in these endeavours by sponsoring us. Any money you decide to donate goes to help the lives of those affected by cancer and their families in any way possible, so a big thank you to anyone who decides to support us and Marie Curie Cancer Care,” reads
a public statement on the company's site.
The development team at Bizarre obviously has a need for speed - even when they make a third-person shooter like the
The Club then they hammer a speed-based combo system in there - so it's fitting that the team will raise money through various speedy activities. This year members of the team will be running the
Liverpool Half Marathon,
abseiling down Leasowe Lighthouse and jumping out of aeroplanes.
They'll also be doing the Liverpool Field of Hope charity walk, but it's just not as impressive-sounding as the others, is it?
Either way, it's easy and secure to donate through the
Just Giving page.
Going to make a pledge? Have you ever raised money for charity? Let us know in
